A Sustainably-Curated Workshop

Join us for a gentle morning of experimenting and exploring with exotic plant matter from the Earth. Plants and flowers each tell unique stories through the various pigments they create. These techniques were initially used by our ancestors who were deeply inspired by the possibilities of nature and would adorn themselves with natural dyes and colours for different occasions. Reflecting on this simpler time where wastage was minimal and everything could be re-used, we are excited to offer a sustainably-curated workshop where we strive to do the same whilst tuning into our creative flow. In this workshop we will be naturally dyeing and opening our connection to nature by using Tea leaves and flowering elements to create beautiful shades. We will then sit with Tea as Plant Medicine to deepen our harmony and connection with ourselves and the world around us.

The two-part workshop will be lead by Anna Cennamo of Extraction Project showing how to extract colours from tea and other natural sources to dye paper and fabrics to create a unique range of natural colours and it will conclude with a Tea Ceremony facilitated by Resham Daswani of Spiral Spaces to explore the wisdom and healing of the ancient leaves. We hope to further deepen your relationship and connection to this sacred plant and how we can better introduce nature and sustainable living into our day-to-day lives. 

The workshop + tea ceremony will take place at Extraction Project, an intimate studio/work space.
